Billie Jewel Powell, of Wills Point, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at the age of 91.
Billie was born on Sept. 1, 1929, to the late George and Emma Smith in Center Point, Arkansas. She spent most of her life in Wills Point marrying her late husband of 29 years Douglas Fairbanks. Billie was a member of First Baptist Church of Wills Point. She worked from Wills Point ISD in the food service department retiring in 1993. Billie loved her dog Sissy.
To cherish her memories, Billie leaves behind her son, Jason Powell of Corsicana, Texas; daughter Pamela King Fowler of Frankston, Texas; brother, the Rev. Bobby Smith and Diana of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren, Adrianna Powell, Monty Powell, Scott Willis, Donnie Willis, Annabelle Powell, Ellie Powell and Graham King; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren along with many other living relatives and friends.
Billie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ronnie King; sisters, Irma Dean Pierce, Georgia Pearson, Dorothy Wilson and brother Marvin Eugene Smith.
Family received guests on Friday, April 16, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Wills Point. Services followed. Burial was in Haven of Memories in Canton, Texas.
