Hunt County ‘Relay’ gets national award

Melody Pierce of Hunt County Relay for Life shows off the awards given to the local group, including the Power of Hope Award for having the most registered survivors of any Relay for Life in the nation within the population bracket of 75,000 to 99,999. “Since our survivors are the reason behind why we relay, this award is one of the most coveted,” the group states. The local RFL had 433 survivors. Pierce shows the award at Thursday’s monthly meeting of the Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce.
