22 FHS Choir students going to State

Twenty-nine members of the W.H. Ford High School Choir competed Saturday in the UIL Vocal Solo and Ensemble Contest at West Mesquite High School. They brought home 27 medals, and 22 advanced to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in May. Advancing to State with their ensemble are Garrett Autrey, Paige Fry, Austin Garrick, Taylor Laster, Valerie Leal, James Mulanax and Amber Probst. Advancing to State with their ensemble are Jonathan Allen, Bradlie Clem, Joshua Cortes, Danya Cruse, Austin Irwin, Melanie Lim, Peyton Rogers and Christopher Ross. Advancing to State with their ensemble are Coltyn Duke, Tegan Konopka, Briana Lira, Hannah Overly, Jaycob Pritchett, Thaddeus Serrano and Sydney Short. Advancing to State with their solos are Bradlie Clem, Austin Garrick, Jaycob Pritchett, Thaddeus Serrano and Sydney Short. Not pictured are Tegan Konopka, Peyton Rogers, Briana Lira and Joshua Cortes. "Always so proud of their talent, work ethic and their drive to be successful," said QISD Director of Choirs Judith McCarty.
