Quinlan council approves Taco Bell requests

Variances given for signs at location east of Sonic

The Quinlan City Council approved sign variances Monday night for a Taco Bell location on Quinlan Parkway.

Valley Bell Enterprises general counsel Mike Stansberry and Code Compliance Officer Clayton Jackson presented the signage requests to the council.

Stansberry said the company is currently under contract to purchase land next to the Sonic Drive-In. The 0.76-acre lot is located at 614 E. Quinlan Pkwy., east of Sonic.

The attorney said the company owns 93 Taco Bell and KFC locations.

The variances approve a 40-foot tall pole sign and 141 square feet in area and attached signs on three of the building’s four sides that are approximately 24 square feet in area with 14-inch tall channel letters.
