Danny Joe Stout


Danny Joe Stout, 67, of Quinlan, went home to be with Jesus July 19, 2017. Funeral services were held Monday, July 24, 2017, at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Hailes officiating. Burial with military honors was held Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at DFW National Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 28, 1949, in Dallas to Troy and Margie Polk Stout. He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1967. As a high school student he was part of the Skeeter Guard and developed friendships that lasted his entire lifetime. He attended Eastfield College where he majored in computer and software engineering. He married his high school sweetheart, Amy McKay Harper, May 1, 1969.

He proudly served his country for eight years in the Air Force. He enjoyed working on and tinkering with electronics and computers. He was a gifted problem solver, a great teaser and a big fan of John Wayne movies. He served his church for many years as a deacon and was a friend to many. He always gave generously of his time for anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tara Lorraine Stout February 21, 1984; and his uncle, Clarence Hodge.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife and sweetheart of 48 years, Amy; daughter, Sabrina Rochelle Plafcan of East Tawakoni; brother, Troy “Dee” Stout of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Heather Ramos, Christian Plafcan and Christopher Ramos; and so many extended family members and dear friends.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
