Cotton Patch racers welcomed to Lake Tawakoni

Bicycles racers in the Cotton Patch Challenge are welcomed Saturday to Lake Tawakoni, one of the designated rest stops on the route, at the Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce office. Volunteers waved flags including, from left, former mayor Calvin Travers, Larry Pare, Robin Myers, Dennis Simmons, Roxanne Turner and Linda Kattner. Participants were given fresh fruit, cookies and water as well as a place to catch their breath before hitting the road again in the race that began in Greenville.
