Cross country Panthers in 2nd place at Chapel Hill

Quinlan Ford’s cross country varsity Panthers took second place at Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill competition last week, and one of its athletes ran for the individual first place, according to Assistant Coach Matt Wingo.

The junior varsity team distinguished itself as well with a first-place team finish.

The varsity’s Enrique Serrano ran for first place.

Other individual places were Jose Sanchez, fourth; Landon Hoff, 13th; Evan Konopka, 14th; Jordan Cummings, 32nd; and Alan Landazuri, 43rd.

Junior varsity individual places were, Mark Eastin, fifth; Justice Lewis, seventh; Ryan Korinek, eighth; Preston House, 10th; Chris Allen, 12th; James Carney, 13th; Brendon Cook, 14th; Dalton Black, 17th; Brandon Chambers, 18th; Virtue Harris, 20th; and Daniel Todd, 35th.
