Lady Panthers keep fighting

The Lady Panthers varsity volleyball team stayed in the match with the Crandall Pirates last week to the end.

Coach Frederick Kramer said, “We started each game digging ourselves a hole and outscored Crandall over the second half of the game, but it wasn't quite enough. I'm proud of the girl's for fighting until the end.”

Quinlan Ford lost the contest 0-3 with scores of 19-25, 19-25 and 17-25.

The junior varsity lost a two-game match to the Pirates. Scores were 17-25 and 19-25.

The freshman team scores in its loss to Crandall were 10-25 and 23-25.

The teams played the Community Braves Tuesday night.

Coach Kramer said, “The varsity put up a really good fight against the current district leading team.”

The varsity lost by game scores of 21-25, 16-25 and 25-23.

The junior varsity lost 2-1 with scores of 12-25 and 15-25.

The freshmen won its match 2-1. Scores in contest were 20-25, 25-23 and 25-19.

The Lady Panthers will host the Ferris Yellowjackets for games today (Friday.)
