Panthers shut out Bulldogs 28-0

The Quinlan Ford Panthers shut out the Howe Bulldogs Friday night 28-0 and take a 4-0 perfect season record into tonight’s homecoming game.

Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Todd Wallace said, “Defense was outstanding. Shutting out anyone is really hard to do, so anytime you get one, it is special. Howe only had 41 yards rushing until the last series of the game. Offensively, we were sloppy, with way too many penalties. We have to get this cleaned up. We want to use this week to stay on a roll and get to the bye week, so we hopefully can get some guys healthy, and start getting ready for district.”

David Welch was successful on scoring a two-yard touchdown, led by great blocking for the first points in the first quarter.

The PAT was successful on a kick by Gio Landaverde. The score was Quinlan 7, Howe 0.

James Hoff rushed for three yards for the second first-quarter TD.

Landaverde’s kick was good. Quinlan led with 14 points, Howe 0, at the end of the first quarter.

In the third quarter, Eli Chambers ran the ball three yards for the TD.

The PAT was good on a Landaverde kick.

The score put the Panthers up, Quinlan 21, Howe 0.

In the fourth quarter, Linus Beierschmitt completed a pass to Dustin Fulbright for a 59-yard touchdown.

The PAT was successful on Landaverde’s kick.

The final score was Quinlan 28, Howe 0.
