Funeral services for Don Harrison Plumlee, 81, of Myrtle Springs, were held Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Mike Stone and Bro. Brad LaFaver officiating.

Interment followed at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan. Mr. Plumlee passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 28, 1935, in Coppell to Weldon Harrison Plumlee and Zelma Faye Simmons Plumlee. He was raised in Coppell where he attended public school.

He married Lola Neal Sept. 9, 1974. They were married 32 years until her death in 2007.

He retired in 1996 as a maintenance supervisor from Dallas County Bus Service.

He lived in Quinlan and served two terms as a city councilman before moving to Myrtle Springs five and a half years ago. He married Patsy Shinn March 3, 2012. He was a member of Lifehouse fellowship church in Myrtle Springs.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping in his R.V. and going to casinos. He was a kind, loving and caring person.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon Harrison and Zelma Faye Plumlee, and former wives, Lola Neal Plumlee and Opal Connell.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jean Plumlee of Myrtle Springs; brother, Joe Plumlee and wife, Vickie of Canton; son, Don Harrison Plumlee Waller and wife, Sherry of Lakeside Village; daughter, Debra Tuttle and husband, David of Southlake; stepdaughters, Linda Ard and Cleta Calk, both of Quinlan; niece, Jenn Craddock and husband, Jason, and their sons, Avery and Dylan; grandchildren, David Hughes and wife, Kristin; Brittny Waller and David Waller; Stephanie Tuttle, Jon Tuttle, Aaron Tuttle, Cassie Casillas, Jenny Bartholomew, Royce Ard, Benton Ard, Jamie Calk and Nicki Ard; numerous cousins, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews; and former wife, Vanara Waller of Decatur.

Pallbearers were James Plumlee, Richard Shinn, Jackie McBride, David Hughes, Jason Craddock and Brittny Waller.
