Lady Panthers dominate Mustangs, lose to Eagles

The Quinlan Ford Lady Panthers took a 51-43 win Tuesday, Nov. 21, over the Waxahachie Life Mustangs, according to Girls Athletic Coordinator-Head Girls Basketball Coach Jason Wallen.

Quinlan outscored Life 12-6 in the first quarter and was up 28-15 after the second quarter scoring of 16-9. Quinlan scored 11 to Waxahachie’s 12 in the third for a score of Quinlan 39, Waxahachie 27. The Lady Panthers added 12 in the fourth to the Mustangs’ 17.

Ashley Todd popped the net for 28 points to lead Quinlan scoring. Madison Harrison and Allysen Warden each added 8; Braileigh Deaver, 3; and Ariel Forsyth and Sofia Garcia, 2 apiece.

The Lady Panthers lost 35-60 Tuesday night to the Canton Eagles.

Quinlan trailed 5-19 after the first quarter, 10-28 at halftime and 23-44 after the third quarter. The Lady Panthers scored 12 to Canton’s 16 in the final quarter.

Forsyth, Todd and Deaver each scored 6 points in the game. Harrison added 5; Jazzmen Beierschmitt and Alexis Zito, 3 apiece; Bree House, Warden and Savannah Minor, 2 each.
