Beatrice Robinson 1927-2018

Beatrice Edith Garrett Robinson, 91, of Wills Point went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in Carrolton.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Judge Hershey Barnett officiating. Interment immediately followed at McBride Cemetery in Hawk Cove.

Serving as pallbearers were Michael Seabolt, Stephen Klutts, Jay Shallow, Scott Moore, and Aaron Robinson.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1927, in Quinlan. She was the daughter of the late Kirtsy Garrett and Cora Howard Garrett.

She was raised and educated in Quinlan when it was called “Stringtown.” She grew up farming with her family.

She met and married Seth “Rex” Robinson in February of 1946. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Seth Robinson; brothers, Matt Garrett, Holton Garrett, and Johnny Garrett; sisters, Eva Slaughter, Nadine Slaughter, Margaret Armijo, and Dorothy Brand.

She worked as a housewife while raising her three children. She was an avid church goer and Sunday school teacher.

She was always willing to help anyone in need and especially with food. She loved quilting and made some very beautiful quilts that she sold and others she gave away.

Music and dancing brought her much joy and she even played the guitar and harmonica. Painting, gardening and writing poetry were also things that she enjoyed doing. She was a plain and simple woman who loved cats and her family.

She is loved and will be missed by her children, Rita Klutts, Pat Williams, and Loy Robinson; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
