Local Eagle Scout gives back to Quinlan school

Local Boy Scout Nicholas Conaghan from Royce City’s Scout Troop 312 chose to build a Gaga Ball pit for the students of Butler Intermediate.

The new pit is located in the middle of a large, open area of the playground behind Butler Intermediate, making it the newest piece of equipment for children returning to school to enjoy during recess and free periods.

The game, Gaga Ball, is very similar to dodge ball.

“What it is … it is very similar to dodge ball whereas if you get hit by the ball you’re out. Except it’s a lot safer because it’s only waist down.
