The Quinlan Ford Panthers lost to the Caddo Mills Foxes with a final score of 27-19.

Defense was strong majority of the game and offense was a sight to see for the first couple of quarters of the game.

Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Todd Wallace said that while the loss was discouraging there was plenty to take away from the game that was encouraging.

“Obviously we are disappointed with the loss, but there were a lot of encouraging signs,” said Wallace. “The Defensive secondary was outstanding and the Offensive Line was pretty good for a first game as well. These are the two most important parts of a football team so that is a good sign. Our game speed and effort was pretty good as well. We simply had too many penalties in the red zone that stopped drives so we will work hard to eliminate those. We look forward to getting our first win this week if we can eliminate these mistakes and keep getting better.”

Game Balls went to Cayson Hoff, Jose Talonia and Bryce Barber. At the end of the game, a player was taken to the hospital for injuries.

“Mikey McCarty was hospitalized, and we will be praying for his well being,” said Wallace.
