The JV Volleyball Team overcame a rough start at the West Mesquite Volleyball Tournament this weekend and came out with a First Place Medal!

According to parent, Amber Whitehead, "What matters most is how you carry yourself on and off the court. The day started off rough for these ladies, but they carried themselves with dignity, and for that, they should be proud! They were an example to others by the way they kept their heads up and encouraged each other instead of getting frustrated with each other. We are very proud of your character ladies and coming back strong in the end! Go Panthers!"

Quinlan Independent School District staff also wants to give a shout out to the new JV Coach, Ashley Walden. "The girls had fun and worked hard this past weekend to win the consolation bracket in the West Mesquite tournament. They continue to improve each game and work together to get the job done!"

QISD says, "Awesome job to these young ladies and their coach. We are so very proud of your wins this weekend."
